Matt wins the championship

Matt played his first football season this year, on the Pleasant Grove Junior Eagles team. He was the starting left tackle for the Eagles and he played about 10 games total for the season. Despite a sprained ankle and some minor cuts and bruises, he really enjoyed the sport! His team's record was 7-1 going into the playoff games (not that winning is what its about...) :) His team won the first two playoff games which put them into the championship game. So, he prepped for his final game by gobbling up lots of Halloween candy and Shari's homemade chicken noodle soup - yum! Jasen, myself, Shari, Jeff, and Carlee all went to the game to support the little super star. It was a rivetting game, and Matt had several great blocks. In the end, the Eagles WON with a score of 6-0. I think the parents were slightly more excited than the kids.....go figure, ha!

Apple Hill

It was Shari's 60th Birthday so we decided to celebrate by taking a day trip to Apple Hill. In the fall it is a beutiful place to visit because all of the apples are being harvested and the fall colors from the leaves turning is a sight to see! In the morning we had special apple doughnuts, which were amazing! We took food for a picnic and had lunch at a little vinyard near the orchards. It was a beautiful day! I have to say, though, that by the end of the day everyone was "appled" out. :)

A celebration in California

Well, our final wedding celebration was on October 4, 2008. My parents flew in the for the event, and Meghan drove in from the Bay area. Jasen and I were really worried about the weather holding out, since we had planned an outside party in our backyard. Luckily, the rain cleared early afternoon, so were able to have the festivities outside!

There were many people helping with the preparation...and all of the cooking was homemade- yikes! But, we pulled it off! Everything turned out wonderful and we had many friends and family here celebrating with us.

It has been a fantastic year of parties, and I can't believe we are finally married. :) The celebrations have been wonderful, and thanks to everyone that made all of the events this year amazing! View Photos
