The Holidays part 1
So far, we have been extremely busy celebrating the Holidays! We started off hosting a Packer party in early December and then we hosted our annual Holiday party at our house.
The Packer party was the usual suspects, and here is a picture of some hardcore Matthews fans - cute :) The Holiday Party was (I think) a record turnout...about 50+ people! Meghan drove here on Friday and helped out with some of the preparation, which was great because my endurance isn't what it used to be! I had baked most of the cookies ahead of time, but still had a lot to do with appetizers. Jasen handled the lighting and cleaning. I think we pulled off another successful party! I managed to stay up until 2am, although I have no idea how! A lot of our friends brought delicious food, so there was more than enough for everyone! We had several overnight guests, and so the next morning Meg made us pancakes and we scrambled some eggs. I wish I had more pics of everyone at the party, but I set the camera down and forgot about it the rest of the night.
All I could think later was that I can't imagine trying to do all of that next year with an 8 month old. Babysitting, anyone? :)

Baby updates
I haven't taken a 22 week picture yet, but here is a 21 week picture which really shows the belly (which is actually now almost 2 weeks old, so I'll take a new one this weekend!) :) I'm feeling great and getting more and more excited to meet this baby as the days go on! We have the crib together, bedding and all. I think that after the Holidays we will really start focusing on finishing up the room. I'm in search of a used dresser on Craig's list, and maybe even a used glider/rocking chair. We have a rocker/recliner downstairs in the living room, but I think it might be nice to have one in the baby's room. I have my 24 week appointment coming up a week from today (so, next Tuesday). I'm a little apprehensive about flying, but I'm sure it will be fine. My midwife has cleared me for travel. :) We are still hoping that Jasen will be able to join me for part of the trip!
This is a pic of a beautiful blanket that my mom gave us which was hand made (by a grandmother). Also, here is a pic of something odd I was craving the other night. Anytime I eat something that I think is a bit odd, I mention it to Lindsey and 9 times out of 10, she has already eaten it....and then I don't feel so odd. By the way, yes, she likes to sprinkle M&Ms or chocolate chips on her popcorn. Actually, it is really delicious! If you add it when the popcorn is hot, then the chocolate gets really soft and melted.....yum! This is really the only chocolate craving I have had. Most of the time all I want is a big juicy steak!
