Well, this is the last of the "montly" posts! I can't believe it! Today we just enrolled her in an early learner preschool and she starts on April 1st. I'm excited for her to have the opportunity to play with other children her age, and have new activities to do each day. I think being home with an adult is getting a little boring for her. Of course, she will still have one weekday at home with Mommy, which I love!
She grew another whole inch since I measured her at 22 months. She is definitely in her 2T clothes now! They fit her well, with a little room to grow. Her talking blows my mind every day. Her sentences and phrases are getting longer and much more clearly articulated. She knows some of her colors and numbers, and loves to count. Her favorite TV show is now Team Umi Zoomi which is a math concepts cartoon. She is still into the movie Monsters, Inc and would watch it five times a day if we let her. Last week she walked up the stairs to our front door without holding a hand....big achievement! One of her favorite things to do out in the backyard is to gather as many rocks as she can in whatever container happens to be near. She likes to carry the rocks around and spill them on the grass and show them to whomever will look.
One of the new not so favorite sentences she is saying now is, "I don't want it." This is usually in response to food on her plate. Although she is still a great eater, she has her days when, like most toddlers, she'd rather not stop playing to eat.
Here are a few pics from the last month!
