Summer Fun!

We have had a very fun and busy summer, and it has been very HOT! I felt we barely survived the heat wave of 108+ degrees for days. Now that we are back in the 90s, it feels great! We have been enjoying the boat, bar-b-qing with friends, golfing, and hitting up the swimming pools when we can. With Raegan being older this summer, it seems there is a lot more that we can do now. She even went to work with me one day! We also took her on her first camping trip. She loved it and did great. I didn't bring any toys with us....just a wagon and a bucket. She loved collecting rocks by the lake, playing with the dogs, and just running around! I was worried about how she would sleep at night in the tent, but she did amazing! She slept in later than she ever has before. I'm thinking about putting a tent up in the back yard now, so Jay and I can sleep in! Ha!

Another "first" we did this summer was Raegan's first movie. We saw Monsters U since she loves the original movie Monsters. Even though we went for the 5:00pm showing and then had to wait for the 6:00 showing because it was crowded, she still sat through all of the previews and then watched the entire movie. She was clapping and cheering at some parts, which was so cute to see! She had a great time!

I have some time off for the next several weeks, so Raegan and I are heading to Illinois for our annual summer visit. We wish Matt and Jasen could go, but they aren't making the trip this year since Jasen can't get away from work right now. I'm really looking forward to some fun and relaxing days ahead!! :)

We also transitioned our big girl from her crib to a twin bed. I was vey excited about the transition until it was time to take down the crib. I felt a bit sad about ending that stage. But, Raegan loves her new comfy bed (that crib mattress was hard as a rock!) and she is sleeping in it like a champ! We had to do some furniture rearranging and her room looks cute and cozy! Big girl now!
