Bear River

In July we headed to Bear River to camp, one of my absolute favorite camping spots! However, we camped at a new "spot" that Jon found which is, to say the least, a remote area. It was actually just a clearing in the middle of nowhere and it was beautiful! Our tent was set up next to this little babbling brook and it was the perfect sound to fall asleep to at night. :) Roxie also used it as a ready drinking source, which is helpful so we don't have to keep refilling her water dish!

When we left Sacrmento the temp was about 107 degrees. Bear River is a little less than a two hour drive, and was 83 degrees when we arrived.....ahhhhhhhh.  This is the first and only camping trip, however, where we had issues with bugs. The mosquitos were a bit thick.....probably because of that stream and there wasn't much wind in this little cove we were camping in.

In addition to the usual suspects, Justin and his daughter, Faith, joined us! While we were there, Jon took us to the most amazing look out point that overlooks the lake. We had four ATVs so we did some riding around on the trails....very fun! Overall, it was a relaxing trip! :)
