6 weeks old :)

Meghan came for the long holiday weekend and it was glorious! She was such a huge help with Raegan and great company for Jay and I. Meg even took an early morning shift with Raegan on Monday morning so Jasen and I could get some more shut eye after a rough night. Raegan did several "firsts" this weekend, too. First visit to the Mall (mostly went well- ask Meghan about the screaming episode in the men's department of Macy's), first visit to another person's house (we went to John's for a barbeque), and first long walk in the stroller (she has done some very short walks previously).

Raegan has her rough days, but mostly she is doing great. Being hungry is a dire emergency, and I'm pretty sure that if Raegan could talk she would tell you it feels like life or death....at least that is the message the screeching cry conveys to us. :) We have a 6 week check up for her this afternoon, so we will be excited to see how much she weighs now! Here is a cute pic Meg snapped of Raegan during her bath on Sunday. This was her last bath with the little new born netting that kind of suspends her over the tub (she's holding up her head well enough now to not need it). Last night I put her right in the water and she was splashing and kicking and having a grand ole time.

Love that picture of her. I'm glad I could help so much this weekend--it was my pleasure. I don't think I've held a baby this much in my life. :) What a cutie pie! Can't wait to see you again this weekend when Linz is in town! whoohoo :)

Kelly, I am an idiot and just read your birth story. (I need to just add yours to my list of blogs so I know when you've updated!) I am not exaggerating when I say that I was crying like a fool. And I won't even blame it on pregnancy. What a beautiful story. Love the point about it being important how a baby gets here. I think people assume that if you feel that way, you automatically must think that completely natural is the ONLY way that "counts"- what a good point that regardless of how things go, the experience is important and life-changing! So glad you are a champion and were able to push that sweetie out. And super glad she's healthy! Congrats to you guys. Looking forward to plenty of baby updates! Enjoy and I'll be sending good sleeping prayers your way!!! ;-)
