Illinois baby shower

While I was back at my parent's for Christmas, my Mom and sisters threw me a wonderful baby shower! We had a really great turnout and it meant so much to me to have so many friends and family in attendance. :) Everyone brought one or more of their favorite children's book, so we have a nice little library started for baby. Grandma Trutter gave the baby one of the soft touch children's books that I played with at her house as a child, and she gave us two little ceramic shoes, one pink and one blue, that she received when she had her boys. Another really interesting book was one given to us from my Aunt Becky, which was a book from 1906 titled "How to bring up a baby." It is quite interesting! :) And, the baby has his/her first sports attire...a St. Louis Cardinal shirt from Milli and Dave, of course! It should fit just right for the upcoming season. It was a really great party and many many thanks to Mom, Meg, and Lindz for all of their hard work! (And to Grandma T, and Tom and Becky for helping to host!)

Shari and Meg are throwing me a California baby shower on the 26th....can't wait! :)
