21 black jack!

Raegan turned 21 months, and now I've begun saying...."She's almost 2," and "She'll be 2 in April!"  I really can't believe it has almost been two years since we brought that tiny little girl home. Two years since I reeled in the pain of labor (haven't forgotten any of that, by the way!).

Anyway, she is so much like a little girl to us now, although one of the other little girls today on the play ground called Raegan a baby (not in a mean way, just in a matter of fact way), and it made me think that there is still time left for her to be my little baby. :) She doesn't want to be held anymore. It quickly went from, me: "Mommy can't hold you all of the time! to now, "Can't mommy just hold you for a minute!" Sometimes I turn on cartoons just so I can get her to sit still for 5 minutes and get some snuggles in on the couch. She is using a lot of two word phrases now: My turn, Binkey back (as in, I want my binkey back), hat book (Her current favorite, by Boynton), all done, get RaRa....and many more. She attempts to say, "blueberries" because that is her most favorite food in the whole wide world, but I think I'm the only one that can understand her. I haven't done the ultimate cookie vs blueberry test, but I'm 99% sure that blueberries would win. I have scouted out a blueberry farm nearby, and am planning to take Raegan when its blueberry picking season!

She is in love with the park, and wants to go there every day! She can now go down the slides (even the big slides!) all by herself (which she loves, and which makes me incredibly nervous). Some of the other neat things she's been into are forts (with blankets and pillows), hide and go seek, chase, and tea parties. She continues to do what Jasen calls "finding her voice" which is a really nice way of saying she likes to tell everyone "No!"  Sometimes we just redirect, and sometimes I try to nip it in the BUTT, literally. ;) Hey, they don't call 'em terrible twos for nothin'. She has also enjoyed her new wagon that Grandma Shari bought her for Christmas, and she insists we take it all the way to the park. I have Raegan pull me on the way home. ;) If only!

We are starting the plan the 2nd birthday bash....which is a lot of fun! What a big girl!
