We just went for a visit to Aunt Meg's house during my week off of work for "ski break." (The district I'm currently working for takes a whole week off in February.). Meghan had the week off because of Chinese New year! The timing was perfect! Jasen has been studying for his board exams for work, so Raegan and I stayed with Meg for a few days. Jasen joined us on Thursday, before we headed back on Friday. We did make it to the ocean for part of one of the days, which was beautiful (although a bit chilly). Raegan just loves the ocean. We had so much fun hanging with Meg, going out to eat, going to the park, and watching TV. The perfect relaxation. :) Meghan cooked us a delicious meal of Alfredo pasta and steamed broccoli for our last night there!
Raegan is now 22 months old! She is talking so much, and she repeats things over and over until she gets us to respond. I think she is going to be quite the chatty kathy. :) She is putting several words together and I can tell a marked improvement in her pronunciation each week! During our break, I decided it would be fun to plant a small herb garden to sit in our kitchen window. Raegan enjoyed playing with the dirt, and watering the seeds when we were done. Of course she has no idea what will result from this endeavor, but the best thing is that she will point to the pots in the window sill every day and say "Raegan, Mommy make it." I love it! It melts my heart!
She has really enjoyed her time home with Jasen. I come home to a very happy, and well-rested toddler and it is just wonderful.
Here are few pictures from the last few weeks. The sheep are actually in the pasture right by our house, and Raegan loves to have me pull her in the wagon over to see them eating the grass. She says, "Hi Sheep, Hi!" The weather has been so gorgeous, but we need some rain, so hopefully it comes soon!!
