I'm frustrated about how behind I am on blog posts, so I'll back post a bit later, but for now I'll start with, well, now....
Owen just turned 15 months old! 15 months! I was reading back over Raegan's posts from about that time frame, and it was funny to see them doing some of the exact same things! Owen is literally running all over the house. After we got back from our summer trip to Illinois, we removed the gates (except the stair gate) and basically gave him free reign in the house. We kind of had no choice in the matter, since he was getting through and over every barrier we were setting up. It makes things very hectic sometimes, trying to keep track of him, but Raegan does a good job of helping us with that most of the time! He is also almost in an all out run now, trying to keep up with sissy! He imitates EVERYTHING she does, which can be very cute (tea parties) or not so cute (jumping off of the couch). He seems to understand sooooo much of what we say, it is amazing. He barely gets a word in edge wise with sissy, but he is saying more words here and there. Today he said a pretty good approximation for "airplane." He LOVES to be outside. He really loves animals, especially dogs, and giggles with excitement. He is also quite the dancer! When Jasen gets home from work we like to put on music, and the kids have a little dance party. Owen loves to dance to the music....I'll have to post a video! His favorite toys are trucks, cars, firetrucks, and his BIG truck book. He loves to push them around the house. He is also quite the fan of Mr. Potato Head. He is pretty interested in coloring and writing with chalk on the easel in the play room, and likes to put stickers on paper. At 15 months, I weaned Raegan of night time nursing, but I'm not so sure how that will go over with Owen. He is a huge fan of night time nursing, and still likes to sleep about half of the night with Mom. He is quite the little snuggler. I do love the company, however I'll be going away on a little R & R trip soon so I'm worried how he will fare while I'm gone. We also just got his hair cut a few weeks ago! I wanted to wait a little longer, but he had some crazy hair in the back that just wasn't really ever looking good, so it was time to trim it! He does look adorable, although I was instantly missing the long hair. He looked SO different to me! Now I'm used to it and love it. :) He was such a big boy, too! I distracted him with kindle and cheese puffs, and held him on my lap. I've found he's very brave about most things form the comfort of Mom's arms. It's nice being a favorite....I hope that I always am! ;)
Happy 15 months baby!
