Nearly a teenager!

We celebrated Matt's 12th birthday by having a bash at the house! We had planned to either go bowling or to take Matt golfing, but the weekend before the party, Matt broke his wrist. :( He was "walking" the dog on in-line skates when the dog went one way and Matt went the other. He did a flip, and his wrist landed against the curb. It was a really bad break....they had to put Matt under anesthesia to set the wrist, which was only holding on by skin and ligaments. As you will see in the pictures, he has a red cast. He is feeling much better now, but he is very dissapointed that he will be missing out on a majority of the baseball season. He feels even worse for his teammates, since he is self proclaimed the best player on the team. ;)

We had a great group of friends and family over for cheeseburgers! It was a gorgeous day! Matt requested another reese's peanut butter cake, so that is what he got! Meg and I made a delicious gluten free vanilla cake, which she and I devoured in a few short days....haha.

We can not believe that Matt is just one year away from being a teenager. He was only six when I started dating Jasen....it is really incredible how time flies. He is such a polite and smart kiddo, and we always enjoy the time we are able to spend with him.....we wish it were more. Since the almost teenager is into music, we bought him an ipod shuffle which he was really excited about! Jasen's mom gave Matt a bag of 50 one dollar bills........or was that for Jasen? Jk! A bag of money is always a great gift!

Happy Birthday Matt!!
